mission statement

Astoria Fishermen’s Cooperative is a group of Astoria community based, owner operator fishermen who have decided to work together at harvesting, marketing and distributing our products, using a quality over volume approach to our fisheries and direct to consumer local approach to our marketing in an effort to keep our food system, our community and our individual businesses healthy and resilient. We understand that our livelihoods have been dependent on the fishing grounds and species of marine life available in our local waters year after year, generation after generation, which is why we choose to run our boats and business in a way that will sustain the resource for our children and generations to come.
